This is where the fun of matching your new space to your needs starts. For a carefree deck experience, composite rules the day. For the beauty of a renewable wood deck, cedar is gorgeous. For the ultimate in affordability pressure treated lumber is a top choice.

Building code requires any deck 30 inches “above grade” (off the ground) to have a handrail at least 36 inches high. However, any deck can be enhanced with a handrail that is picked specifically to “set it off”.

Actually all our decks are framed with pressure treated lumber. Composites are not a structural lumber – they are excellent for decking and railing. Pressure treated lumber, on the other hand, is perfectly suited to providing a sturdy frame-work for your worry-free composite deck.
